Cannon's First Christmas!!

It was an extra special Christmas at our house this year......Cannon's first Christmas!!!

Grandma Wheat came to stay with us again this year and that was a blessing in it's self! I came down with a horrible cold the weekend before Christmas and was in bed for two straight days. God was good and had Grandma arrive just in time to take care of Cannon so I could get well. Then on Christmas day, both Grandma and Aaron came down with the stomach bug. These things didn't keep the Christmas spirit from us, all we had to do is look into the eyes of our sweet, 10 month old, baby boy to see what Christmas was all about.

Christmas eve we went out to dinner then drove around the neighborhood so Cannon could see Christmas lights. He loved them! His eyes were so wide and full of joy.

On Christmas day we woke up to see what Santa had brought Cannon. I know he doesn't realize what is going on just yet but it's so special getting to start special traditions with Cannon....and his brother/sister next year!

The day after Christmas we loaded up the car and headed south to Florida, along with half of Ohio, New Jersey & New York folks too! The highway was PACKED both going and coming home!! Kevin was back home for a couple of weeks from his training with the Army and it was the first Christmas all three cousins were together.....you can only imagine the excitement Grandma had!?!?! It was a short, 24 hour, trip but it again was so special to be with family at this time of year.

I hope everyone had a wonderful and joyous Christmas. We get a little sad being away from so many of our family members at this time but we know the Christmas spirit lives within our hearts and we are always thinking of them where ever they may be.

We left ornaments on the floor around the presents this year so Cannon wouldn't have to get in trouble taking them off the tree.

Our neighbors house looked like the Griswold's!!!!

Yes Cannon is out of his car seat but safely in the arms of Grandma!

We woke up the next morning and Santa had eaten almost all the Oreo's Cannon left for him

Oh boy....new bibs! Isn't that just what you wanted Cannon??

Cannon LOVES rubber duckies! We had one on the tree that we would take him up to see everyday and he would just giggle. This duckie was in his stocking.

Thank You Grandma for all my wonderful toys you gave me!!!

And thank you again Grandma for my picture book!!

Our first family Christmas
Thank you Santa for Mr. Lion, I push him around everywhere!!!

By noon, Cannon was exhausted and went down for his nap with NO hesitation!

Cannon's happiness from the gift his cousin Kayden & Mackenzie gave him

Thank you Kayden for letting Cannon play with your cars!
