This year we got a three day weekend so the fun and festivities were extended. We did normal house chores that kept us busy on Saturday and by the next day we were ready for some fun. Sunday afternoon was spent at the Snider's for a cookout with friends. Their new house came equipped with a swing set so you can imagine how much fun the kids had. Fun was had by all ages with hot dogs and watermelon and an ice cream cake for daddy's birthday. The hours we spent there playing helped Cannon sleep extra good that night. Monday started bright and early with a trip to the pool. Cannon loves the water. The neighborhood pool we visit has a beach type entrance so he sits there and plays in the water without having to float. Of course his sissy, Caroline, was on the sidelines getting feed so she didn't get to enjoy the pool like her big brother. And the day wouldn't be Fourth of July without fireworks! That evening we headed to the beach for our yearly tradition of dinner, fun and fireworks with the Snider's again. This year Danielle's parents were in town so it was nice getting to have extra company around. Maryann and Jay are almost like parents to us and we love when they visit. Last year Cannon was just months old and didn't make it to see his first viewing of fireworks but this year was much different. He was awake and alert the entire time. This year it was Caroline who barley had her eyes open during the big show. It was a late night for the kids but it was all worth it!
Happy 36th daddy! We love you very much and had so much fun celebrating your special day!
