Thanksgiving......Texas Style!

Cannon got to go to Dallas, Texas for Thanksgiving and meet A LOT of family that have been waiting to get their hands on him. He got showered with lots of hugs & kisses from his Nanny & Papa, Great-Grandma Adams, Pops, Mamaw & Papaw and from his Aunt's, Uncle's and lots & lots of cousins!!! Cannon has now meet all his living grandparents and great-grandparents. The others are up in heaven as his special angels who watch over him with God.

We got to enjoy a week long trip and it took that long to make our way around town and try to see as many friends and family as we could. Cannon took a lot of his naps in the car and it made for great sleeping at night. We were amazed how well he did in a pack & play for a week.

A treat for both Cannon and Aaron was going to tour the new Dallas Cowboy stadium. We acted liked tourist that day but we loved it!

It might be a while before we get back to Texas now that Cannon's brother/sister is on their way, so for that reason, we say THANK YOU to our wonderful family for making this trip home so special. And to God.....WOW.....we are sooooooo blessed to be so loved by so many people!!!!

The morning started out early and Cannon got to ride in his new stroller through the airport!

Aunt B had gotten fun things for Cannon to play with while we stayed

Cannon favorite thing of all was Charlie, the dog! And Charlie's favorite thing was when Cannon would drop Cheerios.

While in Texas we discovered how much Cannon loves to sleep on a pillow....thanks Conner for loaning us your soft pillowcase!

Cannon loved getting spoiled by his Auntie M and Uncle Warren.

Cannon loved every minute of the sweet lovin from his Papa!!

Great-Grandma Adams & Cannon (he was named after Grandma's brother Jack)

Before going to visit the "real" Santa, Aunt B tested out a statue of one. Cannon passed!

I love this!!!

Cannon's first merry-go-round ride!

I will cherish this forever....Cannon getting to meet his Papaw and sit on his lap just as I did as a child growing up!

And his Mamaw....love just doesn't come any sweeter than when it's from her! She sang to Cannon and my heart was smiling the entire time!!!

Go Cowboys!!!!

We dropped by again to see Mamaw & Papaw for Thanksgiving

Aunt B had Christmas early for us since we were there visiting. Cannon LOVED banging on the gift bags and hearing them make noise.

More love from Cannon's Nanny & Papa!

Bobby came to meet Cannon. He is Cannon's 3rd cousin.

Cousins Forever....Conner & Cannon.
You were so good with him Conner, thank you so much for all your help!

How sweet is this!!!! Aunt B rocked Cannon to sleep outside on the porch.

The End!
We arrived back home and the airlines had lost both our stroller & baby car seat so Cannon got a loaner from Delta Airlines.

Super Saturday!!

We love Saturdays.....almost as much as we love lazy Sundays. This Saturday was extra special for Cannon. Instead of mommy running her errands and leaving Cannon at daddy daycare, we decided to run around town as a family.

And here is how our Saturday went.......

Cannon woke up from a good nights sleep with a total bedhead!

Giving us the "profile" of his new due!

And Cannon really loves the weekends when we give him a pillow to sleep with to help with his sinuses.

Then it was off to Cahill's Market for lunch.

Cannon enjoying his mashed potatoes while watching the cars.

He loved hanging out on the swing in the sunshine!

Oh look, there's a picture of mommy & Cannon.....isn't mommy usually taking the photos? Thanks daddy for getting me in there!
Cannon just couldn't figure out the hay. It was a little prickly.

Overalls & a John Deer tracker....he's a country boy at heart!

What???? Christmas decorations already???
Dear Santa, I would like a 3-in-1 Smart Trike. Love, Cannon

And then it was off to the outlets to buy Cannon's first pair of shoes!! He will probably only get to wear them less than a couple of months!
This my friends is the beginning of something big....learning to walk! Prayers please!

Mondays!

Mondays are rough!

Cannon is growing up and becoming a lot more active. I guess he gets so excited seeing Ms. Charlene & Ms. Anna and all his friends after being away for two days that he wears himself out and comes home exhausted!

We love seeing him like this, it lets us know just how much he enjoys his days when we are away!

Falling asleep during dinner!

He didn't even finish his bottle this night!

Seeing the Ocean for the First Time

The weather is turning cooler and the days shorter.....that makes for the perfect walk along the beach!

We took Cannon out to Hilton Head Island for his first real look at the ocean. He was at Folly Beach, SC when he was 4 months old but I'm positive he didn't see much, he was still so small.

This time, he seemed to take in the beauty of the scene and enjoy the experience. Little does he know right now that there will be many, many years of his life spent at this beach. From family trips to skipping school to go hang out and surf.....oh what memories the years ahead will hold.

How wonderful it is to be living minutes from the beach! And how blessed we are to see our little boy enjoy this moment!

Walking on the beach at sunset.....life is GOOD!
