Family Dinner Out
Kobe is a Japanese Steakhouse and for the last couple of months we have enjoyed it as take-out but Aaron and I decided to let the dishes stay clean for a night and go enjoy dinner out with Cannon! He started out as if he was going to stay in his baby seat and watch the activities around him but as you can see....that didn't last long.
And of course we had to drive-thru for daddy's favorite desert! Mommy got a treat too but we won't show the evidence!!

1 week = 2 teeth
First, I apologize to Cannon for taking advantage of him during his mad moment at mommy for taking his bottle away then capturing a good picture of his very first tooth.

Weekend Fun!
Our weekend fun began Friday night at Peppers Porch. It was nice night and we enjoyed getting to spend time outside with friends while eating good food and listening to Snowbird Mike play good music. It had been a while since Ron & Wendy had seen Cannon so it was great getting to see them. Cannon enjoyed everyone loving on him and hanging out. He was a good sport and lasted a little beyond his bedtime so mommy & daddy could spend some quality time with great friends.

Saturday was another first for Cannon.....the swimming pool!!! At first he just couldn't get the hang of the water and floating around. We went around the lazy river about 5 times before he realized he could splash the water just like he does in the bath tub. I think he was a little confused that he was sitting up in the water and didn't have to lie down....which he tried to do in his float a couple of times. He particularly liked the little water towers coming up out of the swallow end. He got the giggles a couple of times watching them go up and down. By the end of the night this little guy was worn out! Looks like more pool days will be in our future!!

Playtime at Bedtime
Tonight while getting Cannon changed into his pajamas, he was being his normal silly self and wanted to play instead of getting ready for bed.
Lately he has been doing most of his talking and laughing at night on his changing pad. Aaron and I love seeing him like this and find his humor the perfect ending to a sometimes stressful day.

Adult supervision was present while child was
rolling around on his changing pad!
Look At Me.....
I can sit up!!!
It's amazing how we wake up everyday and learn that Cannon has grown overnight. Just this past week he has not wanted to be on his back and gets bored quickly on his belly so we figured out....he just wants to sit up like a big boy and play.
Kathy has been a HUGE HERO in giving us so many of Abby's things and this little seat with the tray was one of them. Cannon just loves it!
Thank you Abby for letting Cannon use and play with your toys. I know he will be so happy when he is big enough to build sandcastles with you at the beach!

Growing Up!
Cannon is now 5 months old!!!!
Can someone tell me why?? Why do babies grow up so fast??
The baby boy that we use to have to hold tight with both hands just to support his little body and head is now old enough to support his own head, sit up and look around.
The baby boy who use to only be able to drink a one ounce bottle is now drinking up to seven ounces at each feeding.....and our baby boy that we waited for those nine months to get here is now the answer to our prayers!!

Mr. Crabby!
Cannon & Dallas the Duck!
Seriously....this awesome toy and paci is named Dallas the Duck!
Kerri gave this to me as a baby shower gift for Cannon and for the longest time I had it up on the shelf with all the other stuffed animals. While talking to Kerri a while back and telling her a story about Cannon always losing his paci while napping, she reminded me about this great gift.
As you can see, Cannon is now old enough to hold things and Dallas is coming in very handy!
Thank you Kerri for Dallas the Duck! We love him and we love you!!

I Heart Baths!
Cannon loves his bath time!! We put him in the water and he immediately starts to kick his legs and splash in the water. What use to be a 10 minute routine has turned into a 30 minute activity. I hope this is a sign to come with how much he will love being at the beach one day!
